PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT (POSH)

The POSH Act is to address the issue of sexual harassment faced by women in the workplace and aims to create a safe and conducive work environment for women and provide protection against sexual harassment

IMPORTANCE OF POSH

The purpose of this policy is to provide a safe, secure and enabling environment, free from sexual harassment to every employee.
The POSH policy applies to all employees and other people connected with the business including the customers , clients, suppliers, contractors, etc of the organization

HOW TO FILE POSH ANNUAL REPORT

  • To be filed by January 31 every year
  • To be filed to the respective district welfare officer
  • Posh complaint has to be filed within 3 months of the incident

POSH COMMITTEE MEMBERS

  • Presiding Officer
  • Member: Half of the members should be women.
  • External Members: A member from N.G.O or Association committed to the cause of Women.

  • A demand or request for sexual favours
  • Sexually coloured remarks
  • Showing pornography
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.
